Meh could be worse
Former Tenant
Pros:
For the price and location it’s worth it Great views of the park. Access to the park. Parking for a small fee. Lived here 4 years. Two bedroom one and studios available
Cons:
Cold drafty old windows rocketed my electric bill. Management is almost missing completely Some water issues. Not great color. Pressure. On and off once in a While. Lived here 4 years.
Advice to owner:
Sell me it as a condo

Greedy owner, may want to de-rent stabilize b/c of location's potential
Former Tenant
Pros:
Excellent location near beautiful park. Friendly building super.
Cons:
Owner skimps on repairs - for example, elevator constantly breaks down, doesn't stop level with the floor, and its door has gotten jammed shut with people inside! Garbage chutes are always locked. Washers and dryers frequently out of service. Windows very drafty, almost no insulation. To top it all off, there's a mold problem which was "remedied" by merely painting over the moldy section of walls. No utilities are included and the radiators are electric, so your ConEd bills will be through the roof. 9/9/21: Unfortunately, i have to update this review with another warning. Living on the ground floor of this building carries major flood risk! Three feet of water flooded in during Hurricane Ida. All the ground floor apartments and the cars in the garage were underwater. Apparently the drains backed up and there are no working pumps down there! A lot of our neighbors have been really badly hurt by this. Disgusting.

All electric FREEZING COLD building
Former Tenant
Pros:
-across the street from Astoria park -dog friendly building -nice size apartment -balcony in every unit
Cons:
This building is COLD. Not only is it poorly insulated, the heat/hot water is electric and guess who pays for that (not the landlord). We had drafts in every room and have made complaints to the landlord several times and nothing has been done to remedy the drafts. She has said multiple times that she will send a contractor to check it out and he has never shown up. The super of the building knows about these drafts and also hasn’t done anything about it. The front lawn always looks messy. Stains on the rugs in the hall ways. I’ve witnessed several homeless people in the building foyer because the entry door doesn’t lock.
Advice to owner:
-Fix the drafts in the apartments - do a better job of maintaining the building
