Review Summary for 67-67 Burns Street
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback for 67-67 Burns Street highlights a generally clean and well-managed building with responsive superintendents and good garbage management. Many appreciate the building’s location and maintenance, particularly in winter. However, a recurring issue is poor sound insulation, leading to high noise levels from neighbors. Heating complaints vary, with some finding it effective while others report inadequate warmth. Concerns about illegal subletting and overcrowding in some units have been raised, affecting the living environment. Overall, while the management and upkeep are praised, improvements in noise proofing, heating reliability, and stricter tenant oversight would enhance resident satisfaction.

Slumlord subleaser in building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Majority of the time great neighbors and supers are awesome
Cons:
Please do NOT let slumlord sub leaders take over building!!! Have multiple tenants now living above me, no rugs, a dog and cat loud get togethers (pounding on the floors NO RUGS from midnight on including mid week) unit it technically rented to a married couple that is 60+…..but I’ve never seen even when I’ve gone upstairs
Advice to owner:
Pay attention to units and units being subleased to MANY people illegally

Pros:
I've lived in this building for several years, and overall love living here. The apartment is beautiful. Great location- close enough to Austin, but far enough to have less street noise. We've never had any major issues- Carlos, the super has always been responsive and courteous in all the years we've lived here. Pretty clean.
Cons:
Unfortunately, you can hear everything through the floors- even with rugs. Also, the heat is sweltering when it's on, and opening the window doesn't seem to help a ton, unless there's enough of a breeze.
Advice to owner:
Perhaps some type of noise barrier insulation? Also, if there are any spare rooms for this, a gym in building would be amazing.
