Do NOT move into this building or anything owned by West 64 LLC
Former Tenant
Pros:
Moving out was the best park
Cons:
Noisy neighbors, dirty hallways, water bugs, garbage right outside the window inviting rodents, roaches and noise all day and night. The building is close to the train and if you can learn to tune out that noise, good luck tuning out the neighbors, or the smells in the hallway. The building is poorly maintained. The super is employed but uses his son for labor and neither of them actually do anything besides take out trash. The building has a D rating, packages get stolen frequently. The management seems nice until it’s time to be accountable. They had notice I was moving out and agreed to let me break my lease due to the horrible living conditions. I called 311, 911 and reported violations. Nothing changed. I couldn’t wait to leave, and once I was on my way out, the super pulled a final stunt to prevent me from taking my independently purchased French door refrigerator from the apartment, costing me $155 an hour, due to movers not being able to get the item out without the super partially removing the apartment door. When I say a nightmare, absolutely disgusting. I’ve already spoken with my lawyer and I’m filing a suit first thing Monday morning. Do yourself a favor, and steer clear of this hell hole. They raise the rent, and the quality of life just keeps getting worse and worse
Advice to owner:
Hire a professional superintendent who actually does his job. It’s sad that residents can spend north of $20K in this dump and be manipulated into hardship for leaving. Horrible!
