Horrible landlord and horrible basement
Former Tenant
Pros:
A roof over your head
Cons:
This house had so many violations over the years, very really any heat or hot water, roaches when the new tenant upstairs came in, mice, The stoops were in poor condition due to all the snow it broke the concrete which never got fixed, The landlord refused to pay the fines on the house from the previous tenant constantly calling 311, asbestos in the basement, constantly flooded due to being the main house on the sewer line so imagine what that smells like in the summer!!, The sink was rotted out due to the rust and water damage from over the years as well as the bottom of the shower, since the landlord refused to pay the fines reported by the previous tenant she made me and my family pack all of our things up within one weekend tearing out the shower and the sink so that it made it look like nobody lived there when the court marshals came to the door. Our basement apartment was considered illegal because this was considered a one family home… the list goes on… ohhh you can forget getting your security deposit back
Advice to owner:
Pick a different profession because being an upstanding landlord is out of the question
