my favorite apartment i’ve ever lived in
Former Tenant
Pros:
I truly adored living in this apartment. the neighborhood was beautiful during the summer and the people who lived in the area were very kind. the roof top was one of my favorite parts as it had a beautiful view of manhattan. the renovations were really nicely done in comparison to other renovated apartments i’ve lived in. laundry and trash was easy to access as it was in the building. I remember the price of the laundry being raised while I lived there so I started doing laundry across the street at the laundromat, but it was still nice to have laundry in the building. the building was quiet as there are only 3 units. another one of my favorite things was how accessible roosevelt island was. you could bike there in just minutes. the chicken place on the corner of 21st and 36th was one of my favorite spots and they were open constantly. mail and lobby area was always clean. and on top of all of this, the landlord was really great to communicate with. I will always regret moving out.
Cons:
of course like every nyc apartment there were bugs from time to time. there was no heat or ac in the kitchen area. there was also no microwave in the kitchen so we had to provide our own. I think the biggest con was truly just transit. your options were either a long walk to the F or N/W, or you wait for the bus. and the bus is never something you want to rely on.
