Dishonest, untrustworthy landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Heating/Cooling was very good, area was very convenient, close to public trans, not far from Queens mall and other places
Cons:
Very dishonest, untrustworthy landlord. She will go into your place when you're not home to snoop on you. She turned the electric off on a neighbor who was not paying rent (which is illegal). This led to the arrest of her son. And she definitely has no issue with lying. She even suggested attempting a fake battery assault by the deadbeat tenant just to call the cops, thinking the cops would remove the tenant. Snow removal? There is none, at all, which is bad because people in this area people seem to be extremely lazy so no one comes out to shovel. The traffic at 73rd and Metropolitan is also very, very busy. Parking is not the best, not the worst but not the best. The building itself was great, so was the insulation, the problem was not being able to trust the landlord. We didn't even want to leave our grown kid there alone at times, in fear the landlord would think no one was home and would come in.
Advice to owner:
Follow the law. And learn to be a better human being.
