Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 44-46 Purves St highlight a mixed experience. Residents appreciate the convenient location, good neighbors, and cleanliness. However, concerns about building construction quality, slow management responses, and maintenance delays are recurring. Issues such as leaks, pest problems, and poor heating have been noted. Some tenants suggest a complete rebuild to address structural issues and emphasize the importance of timely maintenance. While some approve of the landlord, others criticize the unresponsive management and inadequate building infrastructure. Overall, the building's potential is hindered by maintenance and management shortcomings, making it a less recommended option for discerning renters.

Leaks, poorly built, unresponsive management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decent location, close to trains, stuff to do in the area
Cons:
Leaks everywhere - the building is bound to be full of mold in a year. Repairs are never done. Gym is full of roaches that they claim are beetles.
Advice to owner:
Build this building from scratch again

Overall good place
Former Tenant
Pros:
landlord doesn't increase rent much per year, really great windows, clean building in a nice area
Cons:
I don't think the windows are well insulated so the electricity bill can be high sometimes, sometimes management takes a long time to respond to requests
