Lovely building and staff, management is a mess
Pros
Beautiful new building, we love our unit. It's spacious, has great views and natural light, new appliances, etc. The doormen and handymen are kind and friendly, maintenance is really quick when you request it.
Cons
The walls are a little bit thin. Our bedroom wall is shared with what seems to be the living room of our neighbors, and oftentimes we can't sleep due to them using their TV or playing music really late. I think oftentimes the TV and speaker volume aren't even set very high, it's just that the sound travels through the walls. There is also some amount of noise from the highway, but it isn't a huge issue. Also, management has been somewhat of a mess. After signing our lease, we couldn't get in contact with anyone from management for weeks, not even to confirm our move in slot (which we then lost after finally getting management to respond after 10-20 calls and emails, and had to reschedule along with movers). We also ran into another issue with them where they approved our renters insurance prior to move in, and then hit us with a noncompliance fee months later without any additional notification. They refused to acknowledge the fact that they had already approved the insurance, made us change to a (significantly more expensive) new policy, and refused to refund the fee. So far they've seemed incredibly unresponsive and unorganized. Also will just call out that there are a lot of additional fees to living in this apartment. Amenity fee is $95, wifi was specified to be included when touring which I had assumed to be included in rent, but that actually meant an additional $55 per month. Pet fees are $50 per month.
Nice new building
Pros
I was one of the first tenants in the building. As a new build, it’s clean and comfortable. The doormen are nice, packages and deliveries are handled well, and really no complaints other than a few inconveniences. I don’t hear my neighbors of any construction.
Cons
The elevators are annoying cus there are only two (including freight elevator). Also, there are some spots in the unit where you can notice that they used cheap material.
