Pros
I lived in a renovated unit
Cons
I lived in this building for one year in a renovated high-floor unit. The apartment looked updated, but the actual living experience was disappointing. The balcony/window door had very poor sound insulation, even on a high floor between the 20th and 30th floors. Street noise came through constantly and made it hard to sleep. In winter, the exterior glass door also did not feel properly sealed, and cold air came through the door area, making the apartment uncomfortable and inefficient to heat. The package process was also unreliable and disorganized compared with other full-service rental buildings. Deliveries were not handled in a clear, traceable way from the resident side, and packages could be difficult to locate. The biggest issue, however, was the front desk/management attitude. After moving out, a package was accidentally delivered to the building. After confirming my identity, they released it to me, but the box was extremely large and too heavy for one person to move. I asked to borrow a small cart or get very brief help moving it together from the small lobby to the curb if not willing to borrow a cart, where I had arranged transportation. The staff refused and handled the situation in a dismissive, rude, and sarcastic way, repeatedly emphasizing that I no longer lived there. That interaction was completely inconsistent with what I would expect from a luxury rental building. My advice to future renters: do not judge this building only by renovated finishes. Ask about noise, window/door sealing, package handling, and how management treats residents when there is a real problem. In my experience, the operations and service did not match the luxury branding. Run away if you can.
