Lovely building staff, good community

Pros:
The staff here feels like family and we love the other tenants. Units are large / spacious for their price. Building is well-managed, with easy recycling / garbage disposal. Children decorate the lobby at holidays.
Cons:
Kids parties in the center courtyard can sometimes be loud, windows are drafty, bathrooms don't have great ventilation

Awful Landlord and Building Experience

Pros:
Safe-ish area, walkable, near trains
Cons:
Landlords constantly intimidating roommates and I to leave apartment, packages constantly being stolen, front door constantly breaks and takes weeks to be fixed, unresponsive landlords that threaten to evict us, even when we pay rent on time, landlords avoiding our phone calls and emails to communicate.
Advice to owner:
Operate legally!!!!!!!!

Elevator bldg, friendly neighbors, clean, nice units, great neighborhood
Cons:
Every so often the elevator would get stuck with people in it.
Advice to owner:
Fix the elevator to eliminate it continuing to break down

neighbors are awful. no security, constant issues with people (from the street, not neighbors) getting into the building. land lord will not fix things for months, even immediate hazards.

Heat is great during the winter.
Cons:
People smoke in the hallway and nobody uses the garbage chute.
Advice to owner:
Find a way to get rid of the smokers.

Great view from the roof
Cons:
The building has a big problem with security and homeless people. The first door is always unlocked the second does not latch properly, so several homeless people have repeatedly broken in and set up encampments on the one staircase.

Wonderful community, loud location

The doormen are wonderful, friendly people. The building is clean and well run. The neighbors are mostly kind and friendly, with a nice community feeling.
Cons:
Those on the Atlantic Ave. side face constant sirens and honking. Opening windows lets in soot and exhaust. The condo rules make moving in and out excessively complicated and expensive.

Soundproof streetside windows. Otherwise, keep up the good work.

Beautiful building, horrible management.

The beautiful features, the amazing tenants who look out for one another.
Cons:
The management is virtually non-existent when it comes to repairs and various issues. Expect slow and rude responses (if any) and incredibly sloppy and cheap repair work. The management lets this poor old beautiful building rot.
Advice to owner:
Take care of the property and please take care of your tenants.

2178 Atlantic Avenue is disgusting

Pros:
Neighbors steal your packages, owner does nothing. Every month there will be no heat and hot water for 2-3 days. No janitor and with COVID-19 it has never been sanitized or deep cleaned. In the summer the tenants have parties that carry on until 6am with loud music playing. There is no garbage cans to throw out your garbage.
Cons:
Nothing. This building and tenants are horrid

Sell, or renovate
