Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

John Chadrjian’s buildings show a contrast in management quality. Many tenants praise the courteous and responsive staff, especially the doormen, and appreciate clean, well-maintained common areas and pest control. Prompt maintenance and a generally quiet environment are highlighted positives. However, some buildings suffer from poor insulation, noisy neighbors, limited amenities, and occasional issues with heat and water pressure. A few renters report slow or indifferent management responses, complicated administrative processes, and dissatisfaction with building upkeep. Overall, renters can expect attentive doormen and cleanliness but should be prepared for variable management responsiveness and some infrastructural shortcomings.

Way more pros than cons !

Pros

Security, closet space, lots of windows, renovated, clean, great doormen

Cons

Dishwashers not in every unit, walls are thin, if your apartment faces the bridge it’s VERY loud, have to use quarters for washing machines/dryers, small kitchen and small countertop space, shelving in closets isn’t great

Will never leave this building

Pros

Doormen are kind Rent is affordable Everyone answers immediately and all reasonable requests are taken into consideration- I asked for a dishwasher and was almost granted one for $50 a month but it wasn’t feasible Have never seen a roach or mouse

Cons

Expensive to move within the building (still need first month and security deposit Can be loud even on the top floor
