The landlord is a slumlord and a crook

Pros

Rent stabilized, which has nothing to do with a landlord, but the city. That’s the only and I mean the only positive.

Cons

They don’t fix anything. They don’t follow the rules. If you complain, they harass you and try to evict they bait switch apartments showing you a nice one, but when you show up, it’s a different unit after signing the apartments fall apart no heat mice roaches clogged pipes you name it. And the criminal super then does their bidding. No landlord is perfect but this landlord which owns 44 other buildings under affordable housing real estate is a crook and is the son of one of the most notorious arsonists in Crown Heights history. Run if you’re looking at 8:69 873 875 St. John’s Place or any management at 549 Empire Blvd. If you’re paying a brokers fee, they all work for the landlord that’s a scam too..

Advice to the owners

Stop being a crook. Sell the building.

Infested and dirty

Pros

It was rent stabilized

Cons

They initially showed me a unit in a building they owned next door then said it was unavailable. This building has a severed roach/waterbug and mouse infestation and they don’t do anything to prevent it. Most people in the building lived there for a while, and it seemed like the landlords were letting the building decay so people would move and they could raise rent. Most neighbors were rude and loud, one man slashed my tires. The landlords would also leave notes every month saying rent was due weeks in advance

Advice to the owners

Clean your buildings and respect your tenants
