Stuytown Apartment Review
Pros
No rodents or bugs, good AC
Cons
Noisy, can hear upstairs and next door neighbors and halls are rundown
Not perfect, but I miss it!
Pros
The building was clean, neighbors were generally quiet. Even when the nearest neighbor had parties, occasionally, my roommate and I couldn't really hear things. It's great that Stuytown has a private green area, esp. during spring / summer. Good amount of light, especially given the kind of low floor I was on and the relatively small size of the windows.
Cons
Cold! My room was on a corner. During the winter it was cold enough to mean I'd have to wear fingerless gloves inside on the days I worked from home to type. I can't really explain the specifics of why, but I think due to the age of the wiring I couldn't use a space heater. Tripped the breaker.
Advice to the owners
Fix the heat!
