A nice place to live

Pros

Management company is helpful and pretty responsive, rent is reasonable for the area, lots of natural light in the building

Cons

A lot of street noise from 4th Ave, mouse problem in the winter, heat is unpredictable, a lot of packages get stolen, landlord requires rent to be mailed by check.

Advice to the owners

Set up online payment portal for rent, clean stairwells more frequently

Mouse Problem

Pros

Good location in Park Slope.

Cons

We had a mouse problem that the building could not get under control! My roommates and I spent so much money on traps and other repellents. The building was very slow to respond and didn’t seem concerned with it. Everytime they came they would cover up a new hole. They asked us to find holes and mark them instead of actually looking around for themselves. It got so bad to the point where my roommate had to get a cat because the mice were so comfortable coming out. I also had a dead pigeon die and rot in my wall. The building had to break my wall to get it out.

Advice to the owners

Pest situation needs to be under control and the building needs to be more responsive/helpful.
