Landlord is a ghost, no upkeep, no fixing basics

Cons
Landlord is virtually unresponsive, when you do get ahold of him, he refuses to fix things that are 100% a landlord’s responsibility, like basic SAFETY ISSUES. Dryers do not have proper vent so people doing laundry will set off fire alarm if doors aren’t propped open Passive aggressive notes left on dryers about cleaning out the lint while facilities people don’t clean the laundry area itself, tops of washers COVERED in hair and residue, disgusting, god knows the last time it’s been mopped down there Nice back patio but weeds grow like crazy and the landlord sends NO ONE to take care of them No monthly spraying for pests, so plenty of house centipedes and the occasional cockroach, no matter how clean you keep an apartment in NYC, you NEED to have it sprayed! Constant issues with water heat, each apartment has their own water heater and is supposed to have 45 minutes of hot water at a time but never seems to these days

Respond to your tenants and upkeep your property? We’re paying a lot to live here and we have a nice quiet, problem-free community in our building, you think you’d want to KEEP us all here and keep us happy!
