Decent Spot in Bowery
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great Location

Pretty Responsive LL
Cons:
Really slow elevator
Sometimes it does get a little cold in the winter
Sometimes maintenance doesn't arrive at the specified time.

Loud but okay
Former Tenant
Pros:
Convenient location, natural light
Cons:
Very loud facing the street. Didn’t have pest issues inside the apartment but constantly heard rodents running inside the walls toward the end of our lease. Had issues with mail being stolen.

Solid condo/apartment building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator building which is nice, very large spaces
Cons:
Natural lighting is a bit dim, and elevators going directly into apartment living rooms means you have strangers looking into your apartment every now and then, which takes some getting used to

Solid, unique, well-laid out building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is fantastic. One of the most vibrant blocks in Manhattan. At least for the upper units on the B side, great light. Layout with hallway between units gives relative isolation. Cleaner than your average LES walk-up building.
Cons:
The apartments are relatively well insulated from each other, but my room faced Allen St and was quite loud with traffic, intercity bus stations, early morning loading, and a fire station around the corner on Canal.

Lots of natural light
Former Tenant
Pros:
Huge windows with lots of natural light
Mgmt is doing a better job of responding to recent issues (package thieves etc)
Close to the subway
Cons:
Tall ceilings = high heating bills over the winter
Can be a little loud (traffic from the BQE)

To expensive, has pest problems
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, working elevator. Small community. Renovated apartments have a great look.
Cons:
This building is a Mouse Hotel. It’s nice enough for the area, but the mice are running rampant through every apartment. Landlord jacks up rent every year. The lobby constantly smells of garbage. No rooftop access. Very drafty apartments. Landlord tries to pass off a 1-br with office as a 2-br (which is illegal).

Awesome place. Love it
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amazing location with access to everything. Particularly good if you like night life.
Cons:
The neighborhood can be bit crazy when you open your door sometime. Also some of the neighbors in the building are loud.
Advice to owner:
Keen it up plz?

Drafty, roach issue, loud construction, homeless population
Former Tenant
Pros:
Proximity to night life in the lower east side
Cons:
Building has a cockroach problem, apartment is very drafty. When it’s hot outside, it’s hot in the apartment. And when it’s cold outside, it gets cold in the apartment. And lots of homeless people and loiterers in the area depending on time of day.
Advice to owner:
Do something about the roaches. For starters, maybe try taking the garbage out more often. The lobby usually wreaks from the trash

Worst landlord in nyc
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful apartments with high ceilings
Cons:
Most unresponsive landlord in NYC. No matter what the emergency is, they will always move slowly and try to buy themselves time. The lobby is constantly dirty and even though we were promised a door person we haven’t had one in over a year.
