Nice apartment and location

Lots of stoop dwellers

Pros:
Apartment 3R was really nice to live in because the space is quite nice! Everything was functioning well (sinks, faucets, washer/dryer etc).
Cons:
There are folks who don’t live in the building that pretty much live on the stoop. They bring small chairs to sit on and their luggage and often leave it unattended. Sometime you have to step over someone who is sleeping on the stoop to exit the building. The only qualms I have about the apartment itself is that sometimes the shower drain would get clogged because of how the piping is set up with the neighbor’s tub on the other side. The washer/dryer pops out of the closet during the final spin cycle and you have to shimmy it back in. The property manager is very unresponsive. Luckily when we moved in, we got the super’s number right away and was able to get minor repairs squared away quickly. However, L Rose took 2 or 3 months to return our security deposit and it was after I threatened to involve a lawyer.
Advice to owner:
Don’t ignore your tenants.
