Rats and predatory pricing
Pros
Relatively affordable unit, and somewhat spacious.
Cons
Changed management multiple times. Newest management increased rent by over $800, only to list the property at $300 higher–they later realized they were unable to get rid of it (because it's still an extremely old and slightly janky unit) and they eventually brought it back down to our previous rent and held it there for the next 2 years after we left. The apartment is also directly above 2 restaurants and the alley where they store their trash. There were no pest problems in the 1st year but in the 2nd we had a rat infestation that was not resolved for over half a year. The finishes of the apartment is also extremely low quality. Extremely poor handiwork on the carpentry and the floor–was extremely slanted such that our desk chairs would not stay put.
