Good value in an okay neighborhood
Pros
Rent here is not too high, and apartment has a balcony. Subway access is close by with the A and C trains. The owners do respond quickly when there are issues. We have laundry in the basement that as of 2025 is not coin operated but uses an app for payment.
Cons
Heating the apartment is expensive and the windows leak a lot of heat.The area has very few businesses nearby that make it a nice place to live. The local Rite Aid was shuttered. Grocery stores around here are nothing special. The balcony was protected from rain when I moved in a few years ago, but not anymore after falling ice smashed holes into the awning. Package theft is common due to drug addicts who live in this neighborhood.
Advice to the owners
Mostly doing well, but the hallways and stairs are always dirty, you should get someone to sweep them periodically.
