Persistent bed bugs in my unit and others, management refusing to treat entire building and only treating one apartment, does not report bedbug incidents to hpd as required by law
BEWARE: Perpetual bedbug infestation!
Pros
In most ways this is a great building. Rent stabilized, right on Prospect Park, kept decently clean, working buzzer. They're generally fairly responsive with small scale repairs, but we've never needed anything drastic done.
Cons
This building has been infested with bedbugs for years. James Dimitriades has lied about this on the HPD report writing several years in a row that there had been zero instances of bedbugs when this was not true (there are yearly infestations). The building management drags their feet with doing any thorough, building-wide fumigation, so this building will most likely perpetually be infested with bedbugs, unfortunately.
Advice to the owners
Deal with the bedbug issue in the whole building if you don't want units to just get reinfested every year!
