Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants report that buildings managed by David Lansey suffer from poor maintenance, including persistent pest infestations (roaches, mice), mold issues, and inadequate garbage management. Many tenants express frustration with unresponsive management and slow or nonexistent repairs, especially regarding heat, leaks, and elevator service. While neighbors are generally seen as friendly and some buildings are conveniently located, noise and cleanliness remain concerns. A few properties receive praise for their location and spacious apartments, and some supers are commended for responsiveness. Overall, renters advise the management to improve communication, pest control, and timely upkeep to provide a more livable environment.

Former tenant·10 minutes ago

Do not live in 570 Ocean Ave Apt 1G

Pros

Close to train, convenient location, great neighbors who have lived in the building for a long time

Cons

I dealt with a leaking ceiling and mold for MONTHS while the owner was completely unresponsive. Mushrooms grew out of my walls, water leaked through electrical sockets, my apartment flooded with two inches of water, etc. Eventually the ceiling collapsed (thankfully while I wasn't home) and although it was repaired the source of the leaking was never addressed. I had a professional come test for mold and the results came back very high.

Advice to the owners

Treat your tenants like humans.

Just ok honestly

Pros

Clean, spacious, nice area

Cons

Rodents , package theft, and won’t fix small needed repairs, pricey

Advice to the owners

Should exterminate Repair more Add moreover cameras to prevent theft. Even if theft accrue they won’t check cameras if you ask lol. Terrible
