Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by NATARI ASSOCIATES consistently points to significant management shortcomings. Residents report poor cleanliness, inadequate garbage management, and persistent pest infestations, especially rodents and cockroaches, with ineffective extermination efforts. Heating and water pressure receive mixed reviews, but building maintenance and overall upkeep are criticized for neglect and deterioration. Tenants highlight serious safety and noise concerns, including disruptive neighbors and insufficient security enforcement. Most notably, management responsiveness is widely regarded as slow or dismissive, with calls for better oversight and more proactive, honest communication. Overall, renters caution potential tenants about unresolved issues and inadequate landlord support.

Somewhere to live in your at your worst place one step up from a shelter

Pros

The proximity to public transport Abundance of stores to shop and dine Close to many parks

Cons

Drug dealers allowed to sell drugs in front of the building and only this building daily Hispanic residents (the bad ones) get special treatment and can be as loud obnoxious as they want they can even bully you and super will go above and beyond the protect them. example if you get a break in or assaulted by a fellow resident and they are Hispanic the super will tell police the cameras wasn’t working. They is a gay guy on the 1st floor who does drugs and when he is coming does will scream at people or even try to fight with people even females. If you put a finger on him or respond he will call 911 immediately and lie and say you started it and that your committing a a hate crime and will run the super for the video proof. The super uses him to bully tenants who report them to the city about maintenance issues. I am black woman and a black man lived next to me we could never yell at other tenants or put our trash out the wrong way let alone sell drugs in broad daylight in the lobby The rodent tenant ratio is 20:1 Cockroach tenant ratio is 300:1 and don’t waste your money am exterminator they will come right back Some tenants have 10-12 Pets in a 1 bedroom apartment. If you don’t hear it you will smell it. The drug dealers girlfriend screams profanities once every two weeks in the street at late hours of the night and sometimes even in the building The police come at least once every six weeks due to fights and domestic disputes

Advice to the owners

Micro manage ur super and get once that actually works your paying the guy to ruin your property most of the issues is things that he allows

Dog shelters are better

Pros

The block is quiet for the most part and there isn’t too much noise from my neighbors. There are cameras throughout the building. There are plenty food places to eat and the subway is a block away across the street is a 24 supermarket and 24 hr laundromat

Cons

The floors are dirty and the upkeep of the building is terrible. No one cleans the building or mops the floors. There are mice and roaches the ceilings are full of cracks and holes in the walls The building floors are terrible

Advice to the owners

spend money on renovating the apartments and fix leaks and hire contractors to do what needs to be done. listen to your tenants
