Lovely apartment, excellent management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amazing location 2 blocks from Prospect Park, well-kept building and apartment, and responsive, friendly landlords. We never had any major maintenance issues and minor issues were handled very quickly.
Cons:
Noise levels were sometimes bothersome. 7th Ave can get noisy during the day, and delivery trucks for the shops below were sometimes loud in the middle of the night.

pricey but fine
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location
Landlord responsiveness
Cons:
Landlords are assholes.
You're paying a huge premium for location but everything else is pretty dated and unremarkable.

Very Pleasant Living Experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location for me, lots of amazing local places to eat or grab a drink. Very responsive and professional landlords who 100% know what they're doing.
Cons:
Very outdated interiors, particularly the bathroom. Expensive for the amount of space. Gets the award for smallest kitchen I've ever seen that still somehow has a dishwasher!
Advice to owner:
Just to reno the bathrooms at some point lol

Simple and Pleasant
Former Tenant
Pros:
Layouts of apartments have decent privacy. Many windows and courtyard for bikes.
Cons:
Lots of street noise. Not the building's fault but you can hear honking cars and blasting radios several stories up.

The streets are disgusting. So much dog poop everywhere.

overall positive experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
- building is fairly well kept
- owners are very responsive to issues and questions
- most tenants are respectful and keep to themselves
Cons:
- super old appliances and general issues that you'd expect with an old building
- basement (w/ laundry machine) is very dirty and damp
Advice to owner:
- clean up basement and add another laundry machine

Very attentive landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very quiet, safe. Not far from laundromat and supermarket. Anytime I had a problem they would respond within minutes. There is also an exterminator that comes in every second Saturday of the month which I do not think many landlords have.
Cons:
I wish they would allow dogs, although I do understand why.
Advice to owner:
My only advice would be to consider allowing dogs since park slope is a dog heavy neighborhood.

Beautiful building, perfect location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location near Prospect park, central library & botanic gardens. Landlord maintains the building beautifully & fixes all issues amazingly quickly. Laundry in basement.
Cons:
Top floor gets very hot in the summer. 8th Ave can be noisy for front-facing apts- occasional sirens from nearby hospital ambulances.
Advice to owner:
Keep up great work!

Lovely little apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very pretty building, location can’t be beat, owners super responsive
Cons:
Old building so some pest issues but minor and expected.
Advice to owner:
Could take better care to spruce up the exterior, though always clean.

Good landlord, decent building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Landlord is attentive and timely, at a top floor and never even had to turn the heat on in winter (but it's not overheated either), laundry is $1.50 per load with two of each washers and dryers in the next building, neighbors are both nice and keep to themselves, barely any outdoor noise, haven't ever had electricity/internet outages or leaks, one in-window bracket for AC, bike storage in the basement of the adjacent building, garden in the back is beautiful (and the front of the building and street in general are, too), no mice or bedbugs, gas stoves make heating up things really quick
Cons:
Price for the amount of space, wish the monthly exterminator service was more effective (but only encountered 4 american roaches in nine months), walls aren't thick (but it's not more disruptive than most older apartments), need to be home to accept deliveries or packages can get stolen (but this isn't uncommon in NYC), difficult to get bike down through skinny basement stairwell, big holes above window moldings, bike room isn't the cleanest (but it's a brownstone basement so not unexpected), older kitchen appliances
Advice to owner:
Ask the exterminator to gel the basements. Otherwise thank you for being great!
