Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews of Barry Rudofsky's buildings reveal a mixed experience across different locations. Many appreciate the presence of attentive and friendly superintendents, as well as generally clean, well-maintained common areas in some buildings. However, a recurring issue is the slow and often unresponsive management, especially regarding lease processing, maintenance, and pest control. Pest infestations, particularly roaches and rodents, are frequently cited problems poorly addressed by management. Noise and street disturbances also impact tenant satisfaction. Several apartments suffer from aging infrastructure needing regular repairs and updates. Overall, management seems inconsistent, with some buildings well-managed and others suffering from neglect and slow problem resolution.

Great super, fine building, loud neighborhood

Pros

I really like the super, he's been great. The units themselves are fine - not luxury by any means. I never hear any of the neighbors in the building which is great.

Cons

Even though I can't hear neighbors, I can hear everything on the street, including every party a neighboring building throws (and they like to party). Had some ant issues and there's some rats living by the building entrance. Heat/AC gets pricy - except a few hundred extra each month for that. Had a hell of a time getting the unit due to issues with the leasing office; but I haven't had to deal with them since.

Advice to the owners

Be better at leasing units.

Helpful super, lots of space, laundry in basement

Cons

Lots of street noise, poorly maintained common areas, poorly maintained units, many mice/roach infestations
