Noisy neighbors and area

Pros:
good sunlight, relatively safe area
Cons:
there's a dog barking on the 3rd floor for hours almost everyday that the landlord doesn't do anything about, even though pets aren't allowed. planes flying low directly above the building occasionally and is extremely deafening, sometimes lasting from the hours of 7am-11pm. dead roaches on stairways. horrible noise insulation so you can hear every step and conversation. other neighbors stealing packages occasionally. landlord unresponsive to emails about any complaints. heat sometimes doesn't work and the apartment is freezing.

NO HEAT EVER! even when it falls < 40 outside. Wear thermals and socks to be bed

Pros:
Good location. Decent ceiling height. But that's it.
Cons:
The heat is never turned on. And it is not an exaggeration. Also, maintenance/service requests are rarely fulfilled. The stairs have cobwebs in them. Why not have someone clean them?

Good starter building, needs maintenance

Pros:
Very big apartments and rooms, lots of built ins (dishwashers, and closets), and good connectivity to anywhere because of its FIDI location.
Cons:
Basement has 2 machines for laundry, and it hasn't been maintained. The live-in super is the only one managing the building and isn't supported to work on all repairs. Space could be cleaner and more updated especially common spaces like the basement. My apartment had water leakage issues every now and then due to the building being old but it was managable.
Advice to owner:
Maintain the building

Pros:
good water pressure, won’t freeze to death in the winter, laundry in building
Cons:
office will not respond to any communication
superintendent is extremely unfriendly and is always disgruntled to do any maintenance in unit and everything breaks again anyways after he fixes it

Pros:
It’s cute from a distance
Cons:
The landlords are terrible people who will try and screw you every possible way they can and take your money. The apartments aren’t properly ventilated, the AC doesn’t work, there are cockroaches everywhere, and the apartments always smell disgusting.

Do NOT live here
Advice to owner:
Sell the building to someone who will take care of it

Cons:
-management can be shady
-elevator breaks down more frequently than preferred
-ROACHES!!!
Advice to owner:
Please bring back the ability to sign up for exterminator.
