terrible landlord, big apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
the apartment itself was a nice duplex that had nice sized rooms and common areas, and both a balcony and additional private outdoor space. i liked that there weren’t many units and it was a block away from the G train
Cons:
i’ll never forget the time the iron gate in front of the door to the building warped due to strong winds banging it around and it locked everyone inside the building. neighbors called the landlord and he did nothing; we as a building had to handle the situation ourselves. three weeks after i moved in, the landlord (Herman) was arrested for violating codes, and his nephew took over, who basically avoided doing work at all costs. never got my security deposit back, either.
Advice to owner:
maybe be more responsive and helpful to your tenets
