Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants report that buildings managed by Joshua Gotlib struggle with significant management issues, notably poor responsiveness to maintenance requests and slow or absent communication from management. Recurring pest problems with cockroaches and mice are widespread despite claimed pest control efforts. Heating problems, including extended outages and inadequate warmth, are frequently mentioned, along with occasional water and plumbing issues. Garbage management shows mixed reviews, and security concerns such as package theft are common. While some appreciate the locations and occasional building features, overall tenant satisfaction is low, with advice to improve responsiveness, pest control, and property upkeep to enhance living conditions.

Reviews

Former tenant·9 minutes ago

Expensive and noisy

Pros

High ceilings in the units. Pest control every month. Good water pressure. Basically no noise from neighbors (aside from moving in and out)

Cons

Lots of street noise. 23rd is a busy street with a high presence of emergency vehicles, and the windows do not block the sound very well. Smell of smoke lingering in our apartment, I think from the unit below us. Very cold in the winter, housing department came due to complaints from other occupants. Unit was overpriced, and rent was still raised after one year.

Pros

Location is good

Cons

Infested with cockroaches and heat/hot water was broken for over a month in December
