you get what you pay for

Pros

good trash management, it’s always getting picked up and never piled up, building is ok my first year didn’t see any bugs but now am seeing roaches. never seen a mouse!

Cons

packages stolen by other tenants … gotta pick it up as soon as it comes, seeing a couple roaches and worried it’s becoming an issue, super sometimes not responsive

Standard LES Building

Pros

Unit is well maintained and a really good size. Quick responses from landlord and super. Great location and light in the unit.

Cons

The windows block none of the street sound (even from the 5th floor). Dealt with a few roaches at the beginning, but the landlord provided additional extermination which fixed the issues for a few months. Despite keeping up with monthly extermination in and following all cleaning protocols, the roaches returned over the summer.

Advice to the owners

Have the exterminators come twice per month and make all units participate. Re-seal the windows to help some noise management.
