hey its rent controlled

Pros

rent control is a beautiful thing. the hallways are brightly lit. most neighbors keep the noise down. exterminators visit somewhat frequently. mostly positive interactions with neighbors, many of whom have lived in the building for 10+ years

Cons

there was a live in super until about a year ago. now we have no idea who the super is or how to reach them. the halls are rarely if ever cleaned. some neighbors are careless about sorting trash. mailboxes are broken. some of the safety info is outdated (signage claims former super has keys to gas shutoff, but that person is no longer on site). doorbells no longer have names next to them. nowhere to store bicycles. no laundry.

Advice to the owners

tell us who the super is. hire someone to clean the hallways. fix/replace mailboxes
