Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by MEYER WEINER reveal a mixed experience for tenants. While some appreciate responsive supers and convenient locations, there are recurrent issues with pest infestations, cleanliness, and inconsistent maintenance quality. Tenant communication and owner responsiveness vary widely, sometimes described as slow or unresponsive, especially during weekends. Heating systems and water pressure receive mixed feedback, with some tenants facing frequent disruptions. Package theft and noise levels are also concerns in certain buildings. Overall, renters should expect variable management quality, with some properties better maintained than others, and ongoing challenges in pest control and building upkeep.

Dirty, rundown, infested with rats

Pros

Location, that’s it.

Cons

The Managment is impossible to get ahold of. They only respond to issues when you report them to the city. The building is infested with rats. They are constantly in the trash yard and are also in the walls. The super is impossible to get ahold of when needed. The Managment will not respond to emails or phone calls on the weekend. I have lived in six buildings in my time in NYC, this is the worst managed building I have ever lived in or heard of.

Advice to the owners

Get out if real estate and buy a ground lease where you don’t need to manage tenants.
