Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by Nikolaos Kouskalis reveals a mixed experience. Located in desirable neighborhoods like Astoria, these buildings offer spacious units with good natural light and convenient transit access. However, renters frequently report maintenance issues such as mold, leaks, pest problems, and inconsistent heating. Garbage management is generally adequate, but concerns about cleanliness and pest control persist. Owner responsiveness averages moderate, with some tenants noting delayed or insufficient repairs. While some tenants approve of the management and recommend staying, others feel greater attention and investment are needed to improve upkeep and address persistent building problems for a better living experience.

Decent But Not Right For Me

Pros

It was in a nice neighborhood in Astoria, with busy shops and restaurants, and easy access to the N/W train.

Cons

I chose a first floor apartment, and realized that I had to keep my blinds down to have privacy, but it made me feel more closed-in, so that was a mistake on my part.

Cons

cockroaches, mold, 3 stoves with gas leaks, leaks from plumbing into other apartments, broken windows, unpredictable heat
