Great Location, Disappointing Experience
Pros
Excellent Midtown location with convenient access to transportation, restaurants, and shopping. The doormen are friendly and professional.
Cons
Significant rent increases, ongoing construction noise, dirty windows, and recurring issues with flies and other pests affected my quality of life. The building did not feel well maintained considering the rent being charged. I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility shown to long-term tenants during lease renewal. Before renting here be aware their are several buildings going up on 56th they won't tell you this when you look to rent here
Advice to the owners
Invest more in maintaining the building, improve pest control, keep the windows and common areas cleaner, and consider treating long-term tenants more fairly when it comes to lease renewals. Better communication during construction would also improve the resident experience

Incredibly nice doormen, responsive management, very limited noise level given location
Cons
Frequent water issues (usually planned in advance with notice, but water will be down for the whole day). Happens 1-2x a month.
