MICE AND ROACHES
Former Tenant
Pros:
Laundry in the building
The hallways are cleaned regularly
There's a little backyard (that we are not allowed to leaved anything in)
Cons:
MICE AND ROACHES. It took us filing 2 HPD reports for them to get a real exterminator to come, instead of the handyman who just used spray foam and tossed loose packets of rat poison around. They would not just schedule regular treatment, I literally had a monthly email scheduled to have them come treat for roaches or they'd start coming in through the pipes. No one else in the building complains but according to handyman and exterminator, the issue is very prevelant in all parts of the building. Mind you, they only started any treatment after we moved in, and constantly complained that they didn't have good access to the walls to check for holes -- something that should've been done BEFORE we moved in
Advice to owner:
Actually check the condition of units prior to renting out. Fill in holes in the vents, and have regular exterminator visits.
