Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by Christine Chorny reveals a stark contrast between properties. Some buildings, like 92 Gates Avenue, are praised for cleanliness, quietness, good location, and largely responsive management, though occasional maintenance delays and pest issues persist. Conversely, buildings such as 47 Clifton Place suffer from severe rodent infestations, persistent leaks, poor heating, outdated appliances, and frequent management unresponsiveness. Tenants at these sites report unhelpful superintendents and inadequate repairs, urging significant renovations and better management practices. Overall, renters should expect variability in management quality, with some buildings maintained well and others facing serious maintenance and responsiveness challenges.

Reviews

Worst apartment I’ve had in the city

Pros

Location. This is the only convenience.

Cons

Rodent infestation, ceiling floods, leaks, unclean water in tub occasionally, poor management, completely unresponsive to repair requests. When they do they send the super who can’t fix anything and they refuse to hire outside contractors. They would rather replace broken appliances with used ones from junk yards than buy new appliances. Don’t live here. If you can avoid it.

Advice to the owners

Renovate and stop being cheap.

A fine place to live

Pros

Quiet building, good location

Cons

Can take a while to get things fixed sometimes.
