Pros:
Brand new. Nice fixtures. Close to L and G. Nice Williamsburg neighborhood. Each room has its own ac/heat unit. Good lighting. Places have balconies. Online Portal for rent.
Cons:
Owner moved us in before the building was live in ready, and it was obvious. Place was disgusting when we moved in despite it being brand new. The keys to the place werent even ready when we moved in. Getting a response from the owner can be impossible. There is a maintenance portal that no one checks. Building is advertised with on site super (FALSE!!) and furnished rooftop (FALSE!!). 3 laundry machines for entire building and often, all 3 are not working (only ONE works right now!). Door lock stops working from time to time and leaves building open to public. We also STILL do not have access to our mailboxes because of “issues with the post office” that have lasted for 7 months and counting. A light in our place had not worked the entire time and no one has come to fix it despite multiple requests for them to do so.
It could be a really nice place, but the owners suck and don’t care about being responsive or fixing the things they need to. Also when you research the building owners, you see they have a very shady history of owning residential building in terms of how they treat residents. For the price, I very highly recommend you look elsewhere! I wish I did.
Edit: I have since moved out and have had to badger multiple people for my security deposit back and no one will respond. We did no damage to our place. I’d hate to go to small claims court since they’re past the legal deadline to return it, but I will if I have to.
Also, we ended up having a pest infestation and it took over 6 weeks and dozens of messages for them to send anybody.
