Receivership nightmare fuel

Pros

Nice neighbors, good space, close to park

Cons

Heat and hot water shut off so many times. No janitor anymore.

Advice to the owners

Take care of the building

Former tenant·3 months ago

AWFUL management situation

Pros

Neighbors were friendly and pleasant Apartment was decently sized with a good size living room

Cons

- Management failed to pay heat and electric bills on multiple occasions every single month - management was so bad the building went into foreclosure and the receiver was just as bad as the original landlord - basic maintenance like cleaning up trash in hallways and changing batteries in chirping smoke detectors in common areas went undone - packages were constantly stolen - management was distant and unresponsive to basic questions

Advice to the owners

Don’t be a stranger and actually respond to your tenants and their concerns
