Common areas are maintained better than most buildings. Landlord is responsive to maintenance issues for the most part.

Cons

Landlord only accepts checks for rent payments and you have to call the office for maintenance requests. They never email you; you’ll find out about things like water shut downs from a sign in the lobby. Your packages will get stolen. Neighbors don’t care and will let random people in the building. Also, you will hear everything your upstairs neighbors do, at all times of the day and night. Pest control is monthly, however if you’re not home on the third Saturday of the month and you don’t get your apartment treated, all of the massive cockroaches will come greet you personally the following Sunday morning!! Lovely.
