1) Landlord tried to keep my entire security deposit when moving out because they were not able to re-rent the unit within a month which is obviously illegal. They’ve been in and out of housing court for years under different names, so breaking the law clearly doesn’t bother them too much. 2) Management does not respond to pest complaints, water leaks, HPD complaints, or anything really. You probably won’t hear from them at all until they decide to illegally keep your security deposit. 3) There are massive roaches throughout the building and the neighborhood is iffy at best. Neighbors are constantly having loud domestic disputes that you can hear clearly due to the cheap, thin walls. 4) The electricity bills are sky-high due to poor construction. My bills were almost $500 in the summer for a tiny one bedroom apartment.
