These guys are slumlords
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is the only pro
Cons:
I have lived in a Midas managed property for almost 2 years at 455 West 56th st and have been dealing with the facade of the building leaking for over a year. There is mold growing from the wall, an unsafe window, the heat has been turned off 100+ days been the 2 heating seasons, and my power had been disconnected 4 times. The heat and power have been getting illegally turned off by the owner and Midas has not only allowed but enabled the illegal harassment. They have made no attempt to resolve the 20+ HPD violations issued and made to attempt to correct any of the harassment issues. They are your standard NYC slumlord. Even Michael Padernacht the managing president has been involved in all conversations and is the worst of them all!
Advice to owner:
Stop depriving people of their basic human rights and fix your maintenance issues.

Just don’t
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, spacious apartment, high ceilings, new appliances
Cons:
Very outdated floors, walls, doors, windows.
Floors have cracks so big that they have holes through to the floor below. Building is not clean. Owners do not respond. Absolutely no management, can never get a hold of the super. Very little light except in one bedroom.
Radiators are awful. Walls are very thin. Very little closet space. Moldy dishwasher. No hot water in bathroom sink. Tried to raise our rent by 5% during the 2nd month of the COVID-19 pandemic :)
Advice to owner:
Update the apartment and respond to emergencies.
