Great location, subpar building, bad neighborhood
Pros
Great location right between the L and the J, with Broadway junction and the A/C not far away. Next to a decent amount of corner stores and 2 grocery stores pretty close. Decent sized apartment and ok rent prices. Outdoor backyard
Cons
Biggest problem is that soooo many of my packages have been stolen, and my motorcycle even got stolen off the street. There's cameras in the building but they don't work and the landlord won't fix them. Landlord is overall very very slow to respond and fix issues, we had a leak in our ceiling and it took 3 times of bringing people out to the apartment for it to actually be fixed. The heat didn't work for the first few months of us living there, and the boiler is inside the apartment in a tiny closet in the living room that doesn't seem up to fire code. Speaking of closets there isn't any in the entire apartment. I've seen roaches in the apartment, but not a ton and only a few times. Neighborhood can get very noisy especially in the summer with people who sit in their cars blasting music incredibly loud. No laundry in building. Buzzer only works half the time, building itself is decently clean, but over the summer we had an infestation of flies and it took until the lobby floor was covered in them for them to get cleaned up.

Fix the cameras and get a better way for packages to be delivered

Britani was a very disruptive and annoying neighbor tenantRude, and I heard numerous instances of her yelling at/mistreating airbnb guests she took. Not the landlord's fault but I wish they had held her more accountable.
