Age old NYC problem

Pros:
Prewar building. Spacious apartments and hallways. Elevator like they used to make them.
Cons:
Well the big (-) is why the title. The perennial problem the bloody cockroach.
Advice to owner:
Maybe aggressively pursue measures to use exterminator services in the trash chute at least every month until the critters are abolished.
