Decent apartment, building management is a joke
Pros
I mostly enjoyed living here. The apartment is spacious and the price was fair. Great location. Good closets and large windows in the bedrooms. I was 25 so I had low standards and it was a fun spot to live with my friends.
Cons
Sometimes living there felt like being on an episode of Seinfeld. At one point our fridge door broke and the landlord sent a random guy, who did not appear to be a handyman and had zero tools with him, to fix it. His hands were visibly filthy and covered with black grease like he'd been working on a car or something immediately beforehand. He starts poking around our fridge, touching random food items in the process with his dirty hands, and then eventually opens our silverware drawer, grabs a butter knife, and uses it as a screwdriver to tighten some screw on the fridge door. He never said a single word to us and simply walked out of the apartment when he was done. I also rented from this landlord in a different building and had a lot of issues. It is nearly impossible to get them to respond to a maintenance requests adequately or in a timely manner. I think it's fair to call them slumlords. My packages got stolen so often Amazon temporarily banned me from requesting replacements for missing orders 😬
