Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants of buildings managed by Fred Mengoni generally report well-maintained, clean buildings with responsive supers and management, especially in repair matters. The neighborhoods are seen as safe with courteous neighbors, and pest control is usually effective. However, recurring issues include thin walls leading to noise complaints, dated or small kitchens, periodic heating problems, and occasional package theft due to lack of doorman. Laundry facilities are available but sometimes insufficient or unreliable. Rent payment methods are often outdated, with calls for digital options. Though some tenants highlight slow communication or management responsiveness, many are satisfied with affordability and overall living conditions.

Affordable building for the neighborhood

Pros

No issues. Affordable, clean building.

Cons

You have to mail the check to pay rent. When you call the super you have to leave a message for him to call back.

Great place to live

Pros

I have lived here for several years and have had a great experience. The super is very responsive with any repairs that need to be made to the apartment. Everyone I've met who lives here is kind and courteous. An exterminator comes for preventative visits once a month.

Cons

Small mouse issue a few years ago that was quickly resolved.
