The Worst Landlord I had
Former Tenant
Pros:
Literally the only pro was a lower price which landlord is trying to get rid of
Cons:
The Landlord comes without notice
Floor apartments flood
Floor apartments have pests such as mice and cockroaches and landlord doesnt take care of it
Landlord is irresponsible, he didnt move people to other rooms when part of the building caught fire and needed to be vacant
Landlord pressed tenants from legally vacaed rooms to pay rent
Lease tells you to not take your issues into court
Lease wants to responsibilize you on every damage
Had an issue with the water heating maintainance, and it took 3 weeks to be fixed (in winter) and landlord acted as if it just has done a favor when he fixed it
Advice to owner:
Start treating with response if you do not want to see yourself in Landlord Tenant court

DO NOT RENT!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is renovated with central AC.
Cons:
Landlord does not care about the well-being of his tenants. I have recently been displaced due to damage from a fire next door in this building, have felt unsafe due to a roommate that was physically violent towards me and have begged him to let me terminate my lease early because of it and instead of him to allow me the right as a tenant to do so, he has threatened to sue. landlord is not proactive in fixing issues , washing machine has been damaged three times, and we have had to pay his handy man to fix it three times, still no working washing machine. Floor boards lifted because of water damage. He didn’t fix it for over a month. Water heater tank busted, 3 weeks of cold water till he finally replaced it. I am NEVER late on rent always pay him on time just to be treated like shit. Ask anyone in that building, it’s not worth it AT ALL. I don’t expect a landlord’s focus to be on anything besides his money at the end of the day but if he was smart he’d actually care about what’s taking place in his apartment building … if he wanted to keep receiving money?? Is it not common sense??The whole building is striking on paying rent because of how ridiculous his actions have been. I’m talking stolen packages in our buildings and continuous foundational issues taking place in his building. And his response to it all is “what does it have to do with me”. Let me also add that he pops up in your apartment unannounced. He did not notify me as a tenant that he would be showing up to my apartment building and Leasing a room to a prospect tenant. I came home from grocery shopping to find him and two other people in my apartment. I was shocked and extremely uncomfortable.
Advice to owner:
Your greed will be your own demise
