Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant experiences with buildings managed by Dagan Lacorte show a mix of strengths and challenges. While residents appreciate good neighborhood locations, well-maintained common areas, and responsive staff in some cases, there are consistent concerns about rent hikes without corresponding apartment upgrades. Pest issues, particularly with mice and cockroaches, are recurrent complaints, along with inadequate heating and insulation in certain buildings. Management responsiveness varies, with some reporting timely issue resolution and others citing neglect or slow maintenance. Renters suggest improvements in infrastructure, more consistent pest control, and more reasonable rent increases to enhance tenant satisfaction.

Small Building Woes

Pros

Small building, beautiful facade, well maintained common spaces, great neighborhood

Cons

Greedy owner only concerned with extracting max value of the units with each rent increase. Also if you want to fix anything in the apartment you almost always have to do it yourself.

Advice to the owners

Great First Apartment

Pros

Good building maintenance and responsive staff resolve issues within a week or so. I also enjoy the neighborhood. Quiet building. Overall pretty clean and well-maintained with monthly cleanings of the hallway and cleaners come more frequently when it starts to snow as well.

Cons

Had two instances of mice, but they were quickly resolved. Coin-operated washing machines and raised my rent by $900 in a span of two years, and there have been no upgrades to this apartment during that span of time.

Advice to the owners

Update operations such as coin washing machines. Receiving payments through checks. And reduce rent increases.
