Terrible Management and Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing...I hated everything about this place.
Cons:
There were cockroaches in the unit. The landlord or super never responded to any concerns. Heat was turned on way past when it should have been turned on (in december). Terrible experience.

Great location! Not a bad deal
Former Tenant
Pros:
Loved the renovated apartment and the location. Very close to everything you’d need and especially conveniently located by the 1 train. The kitchen and bathroom were both updated.
Cons:
The lack of hot water is my biggest complaint. It was almost never on and if it was, it would either last for a few minutes or take 15 minutes to heat up. We had one rat enter the apartment through a hole under the sink. They took care of it the same day, and we’ve had no other pest issues, but the super is very busy and sometimes hard to contact if it’s not an emergency. Neighbors are loud during warmer months, but they’re all very kind.
Advice to owner:
Please please please fix the hot water!

Do not live here under any circumstances
Former Tenant
Pros:
The people in the building all leave each other alone
Cons:
I had mice, roaches, cold water, lights that didn't work, begged the superintendent and landlord for months to do something about it, and they never did
Advice to owner:

Nonresponsive and apathetic
Former Tenant
Pros:
My particular unit was recently updated. In unit washer and dryer. Nice clean floors. Relatively no bug issues.
Cons:
Unsecure entrance. Easily opened door despite having a buzzer system. Security cameras do not work. No sense of community or accountability which means common areas are widely disrespected and packages and other personal property will get stolen.

Management is nonresponsive. During the pandemic no concessions for rent were made which put huge financial strain on us. It is a renters market, no need to continue living in a place with no sympathy or desire to accommodate requests. Especially when the building is not secured or respected by other tenants.
Advice to owner:
Secure your building. Answer emails snd phone calls especially if your have good tenants. You will lose good renters by your lack of concern and be stuck with the theiving dirty people who don't bother you ever but cause havoc in the building.

Not good at all.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to the city college station, that’s all
Cons:
Noise neighbors, cockroach everywhere, rats inside the building, mountains of garbage underneath the stairs all the time, dirty floors on common areas, there’s no intercom at all, and the front door is always unlocked, that means. Everyone can get into the building, even non residents.
Advice to owner:
Change your superintendent,

Bed Bugs and Uncleanliness
Former Tenant
Pros:
Accessibility to store and restaurant and transportation
Cons:
Bed bug infested building, super does not clean building regularly, super does not respond when repair requests are made, people hanging out in the lobby at late hours of the night or in front of the building all day, hear is not given regularly during winter months. Landlord behaves like a slumlord.
Advice to owner:
Sell the building if you can not take care of it.
