Place needs an upgrade, rent went up almost $2000

Pros

We moved to this building a year ago. Best part is the location - you simply cannot beat it. The apartment itself is spacious but the bedrooms are really small and it’s a little run down.

Cons

After just a year of living here, the landlord raised our rent almost $2,000!! It’s not worth it. The location is great but the apartment is just not worth that much. If I am going to pay that much more, I would expect a luxury building which this is not. We never met the super, issues were either never fixed our done in a poor manner.

Advice to the owners

Don’t be a jerk to your good tenants! And have a super that actually shows up!!
