Former tenant·Over 2 years ago

Safe, clean, and responsive....but no frills

Pros

Large Apartments. Responsive Super and building manager. Clean.

Cons

Heat: Central computer controlled to ensure your unit is above the LEGAL minimum of habitability....so YOU WILL NEED A SPACE HEATER in every room unless you like it 62-64 F at night in the winter. Heat will turn off for several hours at a time and your unit can drop 12 degrees, so dress in layers Contractors: Building hires cheap contractors, so the updates are pretty flimsy or poorly done. The Superintendent tries to fix the things he is able to

Advice to the owners

Allow for individual heat control. Hire better contractors

Has its flaws

Pros

Close to restaurants, bars, & pharmacies

Cons

Thin walls, super is unresponsive, management is very unresponsive, pests (roaches, mice). Before COVID, this building was super clean. But a year and a half later, it’s not as great as it once was. The neighbors on my floor are quiet but the neighbors above me throw parties all the time until 5 am. Please don’t move here.
