Not a bad place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
TV in living room and individual rooms provided by landlord, responsive to pest control, clean entryway, decent price.
Cons:
Lots and lots of cockroaches and mice in our apartment, pest control concluded another tenant’s habits were the cause. Landlord couldn’t do much about it but offered us no rent raise if we wanted to stay. Rooms are really really small, other tenants in the building are really disrespectful to their neighbors. The apartment next to us had a couple screaming at each other all hours of the day and night and the apartment below us was playing super loud dance music all day and all night. Both apartments would not respond well to other tenants asking them to be quiet. Verbal altercations ensued.
Advice to owner:
I know there’s not a whole lot you can do about how tenants act. I just wish there were a way for you to enforce noise or cleanliness. I would have definitely re signed if there were respectful people living in the building.
