Nothing fancy but no complaints
Pros
Super is very responsive, helps with any needed repairs quickly. Pest control brought in on a regular basis, no infestations (that I know about), trash is handled regularly and efficiently.
Cons
It's nothing pretty or fancy but they do a good job.
Advice to the owners
Be more transparent with your listings. Ripping the pictures off the internet and upping the rent by several hundred dollars post-close is just sketchy business. After my unit was rented, all pictures were taken off StreetEasy/Zillow/etc. and the rent was listed as $400 more than what I was paying.
3/10 wouldn't live again
Pros
The area mostly, but the super was very fast to respond to broken things. Would fix ASAP.
Cons
Constantly dealing with cockroaches and ants coming in from other apartments. The building itself and apartment were very dirty when we moved in. Appliances were all complete junk. You can hear the neighbors very easily. The temperature was locked behind a box and the heat was mediocre at best. The doorbell never worked once the entire time I lived there. But worst of all was the real estate company Destination Real Estate, they were total sleazeballs trying to rip anyone they could off.
Advice to the owners
Get a new real estate management company and then fix your apartment buildings up.
